Understanding our Holistic body

The Human body has system and they are all inter-related

1. Circulatory System :

Circulates blood around the body via the heart, arteries and veins, delivering oxygen and nutrients to organs and cells and carrying their waste products away. Keeps the body’s temperature in a safe range.

When our circulatory system is not working properly we can find some pathologies like:

Embolism and thrombus, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, thrombophlebitis, rheumatic heart disease, hemophilia, blood cancer (leukemia), myeloma and lymphoma and heart, heart attack or stroke.

When people has one of this conditions invigorating massages are not recommended.

2. Digestive and Excretory System:

Absorb nutrients and remove waste via the gastrointestinal tract, including the mouth, esophagus, stomach and intestines all these eliminate waste from the body.  Without an appropriate diet it is hard to have a healthy digestive and excretory system and this will affect the whole body function.

3. Endocrine System

It is a collection of glands that secrete hormones that influences the body functions, several endocrines system conditions affects our population like:

Diabetes Mellitus, Hyperthyroidism. Hypothyroidism,Metabolic syndrome among others.

4. Renal System and Urinary System

The Urinary System is a relative small system, compose of the kidneys ,ureters, bladder, and

Urethra. It is connected to our circulatory system by the abdominal Aorta.

Right sided heart failure is closely link to renal failure and enlarged liver.

5. Reproductive System

The sex organs regulated for the production offerings, but also pleasure. Some reproductive system conditions that affect your life are:

Menopause, pregnancy, premenstrual syndrome, Cancer, among others.

6. Respiratory System

Bring air into the lungs, and their function is to supplie the entire body with enough oxygen and

to remove carbon dioxide. Each breath contains approximate 21% oxygen when we inhale and

when we exhale contain 16% oxygen.  Impressive!

7. Skeletal System

Bones maintain the structure of the body and its organs. Red and white blood cells are

produced in the red bone marrow.

Bones store calcium, phosphorous and other minerals ,also

secrete hormones that help to manage the phosphate re absorption in the kidneys, regulate

blood sugar levels by boosting insulin-producing cells and reduce fat deposition.

 MASSAGES ARE CONTRAINDICATED ON FRACTURES

8. Nervous System:

Collects and process information from the senses via nerves, and the brain throughout electrical

impulses and tells the muscle to contract to cause physical actions

A lot of pain is cause by irregularities in the nervous system . Most common conditions are

Fibromyalgia , Myofascial pain syndrome, migraines,Bell Palsy,Dystonia, Chronic pain. Carpal

tunnel syndrome, among others.

9. Muscular System And Fascia

Enables the body to move using muscles.

Muscles: are tissue composed by specialized Threadlike cells called Myofibers with stimulation

these have the power to contract.

Fascia: Is the connective tissue that cover the skeletal and muscular system it is composed by

cell cables Myofibroblasts and they are a combination of collagen, elastin, and other reticulated fibers. The Myofibroblasts has the capacity to slowly contract leading to stiffens and

rigidity in fascia sheaths. Fascia function is to separate the layers of the tissues, providing

lubricating gliding surfaces so the muscle can move easily and acting as a protective covering to

joins and organs. Fascia is rich in sensory neurons like proprioceptors that help determine

posture and resting tone. Common condition like Headaches and low back pain, idiotibial band

pains even adhesive capsulitis has been found to be related to fascia dysfunction.

10. Intergumentary System “ The Skin”

The skin is the physical barrier of our body and it is also made of delicate tissue ,that have the

power of efficiently replace themselves, in addiction to fast repairs, the abundance of immune

system cells located in the superficial Fascia offers protection from potent invasion. When

these defense mechanisms became hyperactive, they can cause skin conditions.

The skin also protects from fluid loss and maintain stable temperature.

The skin is a sensory envelope , it is the system that tell us the most about our

environment. and it has the capacity to absorb fluids and excrete waste through sweat.

The skin doesn’t absorbed topical substance unless these are a particular molecular size with a

chemical vehicle.

when our kidneys, liver or colon are overwhelm, our skin can carry noxious chemical out of our body.

11. Lymph and Immune System

The lymphatic system is unlike another organ system, It its not symmetrical and it functions as

a sort of subsystem to the circulatory system and Immune System.

The lymph is the interstitial fluid that is drawn into the lymphatic capillaries. The lymph is

compose mainly of Plasma that exit the bloodstream and loads of metabolic waste. It is the

medium in which all of the body nutrients and waste travels, but do not have a pump like the

circulatory system, if it stagnates, waste products o pathogens accumulate in our body can

cause problems, pain and diseases.

the Immune System is a complex collection of tissues, cells and chemicals whose coordinate

functions to keep the whole organism safe.

The primary function is to distinguish what is self from what is non self and to eradicate

anything that is non self as quickly as possible. If the Immune system fails to do this

distinction the body will attack itself creating what we called Autoimmune disorders. This group

of disease includes:

Multiple sclerosis, Lupus, Scleroderma, rhematoidearthritis, and several others chronic problems.
